Boston University Dental Health Center
Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020, through Tuesday, April 7, 2020, all in-person patient care at Boston University Dental Health Center will be discontinued. We are taking this step based on new guidance from the state Department of Public Health and the Office of the Governor.
We will continue to provide emergency oral healthcare via telemedicine. If you need emergency treatment, please take the following steps:
- If you are a patient of the 930 Commonwealth Avenue location, please call 617-358-1000 during normal business hours (8:30a-5p Monday-Thursday; 7:30a-4p Friday) to leave a voicemail for a patient coordinator. If you are seeking emergency treatment after hours, please call 617-358-0190, and leave a message.
- If you are a patient of the 635 Albany Street location, please call 617-358-0190 to leave a voicemail for a patient coordinator.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-in patients at this time at either of our locations.

The Boston University Dental Health Center is a multi-disciplinary group practice with two convenient locations. We combine knowledge with experience and use the latest technologies to deliver comprehensive dental care with the highest standards of excellence.
As a multi-specialty practice, the Center provides care in endodontics, implantology, oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry, making this treatment facility truly unique.
Our patients are not referred offsite to strangers, but rather they have access to any and all specialists they may require, while their treatment is being managed at the Dental Health Center.
The Center offers reasonable rates, often well below what is customary in the Boston area.
Boston University Dental Health Center is the primary provider for the BU Dental Health Center Plan and the Dental Blue Freedom Plan. They also accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Delta Dental Premier. Participants of other dental plans can be treated at the Center but will be required to pay for services at the time of service and obtain reimbursement from their dental plan provider.
The Boston University Dental Health Center at 930 Commonwealth Avenue is excited to offer a significant discount on our full complement of services for Boston University PhD students. The Dental Health Center now offers a reduced fee schedule for all university PhD students that are not currently covered by any other dental insurance. This offer does not include family members. If you are a PhD student and would like to become a patient of the Dental Health Center at 930 Commonwealth Avenue, please call 617-358-1000 to register as a new patient. Upon registering please let us know that you are registering as a PhD student and come prepared for your visit with your BU identification card. We are conveniently located on the Charles River Campus and would love to welcome you to our practice.
The Center adheres to strict infection control practices; instruments used in patient care are autoclave-sterilized. We are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and accredited by the American Dental Association. All facilities are designed to accommodate people with disabilities.
