Ms. Janice Arruda has been a Clinical Hygienist at the 635 Albany Street Boston University Dental Health Center since 1998. In 2004-2005, she was a full-time Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Ms. Arruda received her Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health in 2004. She received an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Bristol Community College in 1991. She received her BA in 1976 from Southeastern Massachusetts University.
In 2003, Ms. Arruda interned as a part-time Clinical Instructor for the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She has also been a tutor for the Dental Hygiene Boards. Ms. Arruda is a Member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and many other Associations. Most recently, she wrote a chapter on Substance Abuse for the 10th Edition of Esther Milkin’s textbook, Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist, published in the fall of 2008.
